With managing Internet usage a necessity in today’s workplace, we have been receiving an increasing number of enquiries from clients who are looking to control how their employees are using company-provided internet access. This newsletter is to make you aware that we sell and support software that provides a central point of control over a LAN’s Internet Access, allowing you to easily block sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Hotmail, and programs such as RealPlayer, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger or Skype.

This software allows you to easily block access to specific web sites by entering URL’s into the Ban List. For example, by entering “” and “” into the Ban List, you will block access to Hotmail. Alternatively, you could choose to block all sites with the exception of those you have specifically allowed, keeping employees focused on work-related internet sites.

There is also an optional plugin for to provide administrators a comprehensive content filtering solution based on artificial intelligence. This includes 12 preconfigured categories including sex, gambling, web mail, sports, job seeking, stocks, dating and chat sites. Once the administrator has selected which categories to block, there is no need to manually define the sites you deem inappropriate.

This software is available on a per user or group basis.
